Quando O CEO da Ducati Claudio Domnicali foi questionado sobre a geometria interna da motor da Panigale 1199, afirmou que queria a Panigale o mais compacta e equilibrada poss\u00edvel. \u00a0Com um aumento de 87cc e o diametro do cilindro a atingir proporc\u00f5es \u00e9picas a nova Panigale 1299 estabelece um novo standard na familia das Superbikes, ao reclamar 205cv \u00e0s 10500rpm. \u00c9 prov\u00e1vel que n\u00e3o exista moto em que a rela\u00e7\u00e3o potencia\/torque seja assim, talvez com a excep\u00e7\u00e3o de alguma maquina japonesa.
